By Order of the Ministry of Communications and Informatization No. 189 of 7.07.2004, the Republican State-Owned Association Beltelecom has been transformed to the Republican Unitary Telecommunications Enterprise Beltelecom (RUE Beltelecom) on 1 August 2004. The republican unitary telecommunication enterprises such as Brestobltelecom, Vitebskobltelecom, Gomelobltelecom, Grodnoobltelecom, Minskobltelecom,Mogilevobltelecom, the Minsk City Telephone Network, Long Distance Communications and the Minsk Telephone-Telegraph Station shall be re-organized by affiliation to the republican unitary enterprise Beltelecom on 1 August 2004.

RUE Beltelecom is a National Telecommunications Operator of the Republic of Belarus. For the years that passed, the enterprise has installed a proliferated telecommunication network covering the territory of the country, a fiber optic backbone network providing connectivity to neighboring countries. Beltelecom is currently developing radically new telecommunication services. The enterprise provides for delivery of long distance and international traffic as well as operation of the earth network of television and radio channels. For provisioning international satellite channels, Teleport, a complex of earth satellite stations, is used.

Beltelecom offers data communication over public switched network, access to international and national resources on the Internet, and lease of international digital groups and circuits of any capacity. It ensures non-discriminatory operating conditions for all mobile operators in the country by connecting them to international exchange and offering national and international roaming.

Beltelecom has been awarded certificates of compliance with the requirements of ISO 9001-2001 under the national certification system of the Republic of Belarus and TGA (German Association for Accreditation) for its quality management system for provisioning of telecommunication services.

We are reasonably confident that the quality management system implemented by Beltelecom will continually evolve thereby improving production and management processes, expanding the range of services offered and enhancing their quality.
